Uncomplicated Swiss cuisine on the Suvretta hillside
With mountain view – Restaurant Stüvetta in St. Moritz
A cheese fondue, a hearty farmer’s rösti or a healthy field salad or rather capuns or beef tagliata with a breathtaking view of the gleaming mountains?
Located a bit outside of St. Moritz at an altitude of just below 2000 meters, but still easily accessible (in summer and winter also by car). Although not a real mountain restaurant, it is nevertheless situated on hiking and biking trails and blessed with an unforgettable view of the Upper Engadine lake region and the mountains.
This is Restaurant Stüvetta on the Suvretta hill in St. Moritz!
But don’t worry: although we are located on extremely prestigious ground and surrounded by the villas of the rich and beautiful of this world, you will find us an affordable island for “ordinary mortals”.
During the day, our sun terrace is the perfect place for a break during a leisurely walk from the top station of the Signal cable car. The more sporty ones hike from Piz Nair or even come down to the Suvretta area via the Suvretta Pass. We are also on the way for mountain bikers. Did you know that the entrance to the Foppettas Flow Trail is located almost behind the house?
Also in winter, a detour to us is possible. As a winter hiker anyway. If there is enough snow, you even get to our house on skis using a sneak path. The chairlift Suvretta-Randolins is about 300 meters away from the Restaurant Stüvetta and brings you right back to the Corviglia ski area after your refreshment.
Our service team and the kitchen crew are looking forward to your visit, whether for a short snack or a cozy dinner.
See you soon!

Capuns
Nobody knows exactly who invented these delicious Swiss chard wraps. According to a legend, this Grisons speciality comes from the Surselva.
Vegetarians find a version without Salsiz and dried Grisons meat on the menu.

Hikes around St. Moritz. How to find us.
The Restaurant Stüvetta is part of the Berghotel Resort Randolins St. Moritz. So you can also follow the hotel signs at any time. Coming from the Suvrettapass or from Trutz, we are located directly at the bike and hiking trail before it goes “back to civilization”. We are easily accessible by car anyway – in summer as well as in winter.
On foot
From the bus stop St. Moritz Somplaz it takes about 20 minutes to walk up to Restaurant Stüvetta. The other way round is certainly the more easy option. Relaxed hikes from the Signalbahn (mountain station) or from the Trutzhütte lead past us. Those who prefer more challenging routes can also reach us on foot from the Via Engiadina (coming from Silvaplana), from Corviglia, from Piz Nair, Suvretta Pass, or even after a day’s hike from the Chamanna Jenatsch.
By (e-)bike
Admittedly, the ascent on the Suvretta slope by bike does not come without physical effort. For fit athletes, however, it is definitely doable. All others can do it easily with electric assistance or turn the tables anyway: Because after the descent from the WM Flow Trail, which starts on Corviglia and leads back to the valley via El Paradiso, you pass directly by us. In addition, the entrance to the Foppettas Flow Trail is located behind the house, so to speak. Our tip for professionals: The Suvretta Loop, which connects the Suvretta area via Suvretta Pass with Spinas/Bever.
With skis or snowboard
As soon as there is enough snow, we can even be reached on skis via a sneak path. Unless you are a beginner, take the slope to Suvretta from Trutz, leave the slope at the big left turn to the right and slowly follow the winter hiking trail. After refreshments at the Restaurant Stüvetta, the chair lift Suvretta-Randolins (300m walk from the restaurant) will take you directly back to the Corviglia ski area.
By car
At the bus stop Somplaz, take the turnoff in the direction of Suvretta. Follow the official hotel signs “Randolins”. Don’t be surprised, you will pass two driving bans if you drive up the Suvretta hill by car. Don’t worry, in the small print it says: “except guests of Hotel Randolins”. Enough parking spaces are available here anyway and of course free of charge for our restaurant guests.
By electric car
It is also possible to arrive by electric car. While you are “filling up” in our restaurant, your car will also recharge its batteries at our on-site e-charging station.
